Description
Description:
High Density is a medium quality (1.9 lbs), industrial grade foam type that is offered in a range of firmnesses, from Soft to Extra Firm.
There is a common misconception that the title “High Density” translates to a firm foam. That is simply not the case because density is not correlated to firmness. Instead, the name “High Density” was created to differentiate this foam type from the standard original Polyurethane foam (1.2 lbs), which High Density derives from. You can read more about this here.
High Density foam is commonly used in furniture. Because it returns to shape after compression, High Density offers a good balance between softness and support. It carries a higher density than Polyurethane foam, giving it better comfort in mattresses and furniture.
