Description
Description:
Our cross-linked Closed Cell foam is sturdy, stiff, and non-water absorbent, making it mold and mildew resistant. It is also stain-resistant, non-biodegradable, has great tensile strength, and is impervious to petroleum. Such characteristics make Closed Cell foam well suited for marine environments. This foam type has a smooth texture and is relatively light at a density of 2 lbs. Closed Cell foam is often used commercially for thermal insulation, such as in hot tub covers. It’s also commonly used in flotation equipment because it is non-water absorbent and has a high buoyancy.
Closed Cell foam is produced at a maximum thickness of 4 inches. The available thicknesses for Closed Cell foam vary. As a result, Closed Cell foam may be laminated to achieve the desired thickness.
